For orange lovers, an orange flan. It makes a change from caramel and vanilla.

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Make the caramel: heat 100 g of sugar in a heavy-based pan.

    When the sugar turns to caramel, stir the mixture with a wooden spoon and coat the bottom of the dish with it.

    Beat the eggs, the condensed milk, 100 g of sugar and the orange juice. To get 350 g of orange juice, I squeezed 4 oranges of about 250 g each.

    Pour this mixture into the mould.

  3. Step 3

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Boil water in a pan and pour it into a large dish.

    Sit the mould in it and bake for an hour.

    To tell if the flan is cooked, stick a knife blade into it. If it comes out dry, it’s done.

    Let it cool and store it in the fridge for several hours. Eat it promptly afterwards.

    Serve with orange segments.
