In accordance with the provisions of Articles 6-III and 19 of Act No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), users of the kilometre-0.fr website are hereby informed of the identity of the various parties involved in its creation and upkeep.

The kilometre-0.fr website is published by the Kilomètre-0 association, a non-profit association governed by the French Act of 1 July 1901 and the decree of 16 August 1901.

The association’s purpose is to promote seasonal, local and healthy cooking, in particular through the publication and running of the Kilomètre-0 culinary media outlet. It is managed on a non-profit basis within the meaning of Article 261-7 of the French General Tax Code.
The association is represented by its Management Board, made up of three co-presidents, each of whom holds the status of legal representative, sharing the following responsibilities:
- Karl Pineau — technical and administrative management;
- Martine Pineau — editorial management;
- Lionel Pineau — artistic and photographic direction.
2. Publication director
In accordance with Article 93-2 of Act No. 82-652 of 29 July 1982 on audiovisual communication, the website’s publication director is the association’s statutory representative.
As the association is run collectively by three co-presidents, all of whom are legal representatives, and as the editorial function is assigned by the statutes to one of them, the publication director is Martine Pineau, in her capacity as the co-president in charge of editorial management.

4. Website design and development
The design, development and technical maintenance of the website are carried out by the members of the association, as part of their voluntary duties within the Management Board.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the kilometre-0.fr website – text, photographs, videos, illustrations, graphic elements, visual identity, layout and specific source code – is protected under the provisions of the French Intellectual Property Code. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, this content is the property of the Kilomètre-0 association or, in the absence of a transfer of rights, is covered by a licence to use granted to the association by its authors, under the conditions set out in Article 26 of the association’s statutes.
In accordance with settled case law (Cass. 1re civ., 30 June 1998, No. 97-15.043), cooking recipes regarded as mere successions of instructions are not in themselves protected by copyright. The introductory texts, commentary, anecdotes, photographs and videos that accompany them, on the other hand, are protected.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication, adaptation or exploitation, in whole or in part, of the protected elements of the website, by any means whatsoever and on any medium whatsoever, is prohibited without the prior written authorisation of the Kilomètre-0 association, on pain of constituting an infringement punishable under Articles L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
The following are permitted, in particular, under the conditions laid down by law:
- the exceptions for short quotations, press reviews and private copying provided for in Article L.122-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code;
- the reproduction of the recipe in the strict sense (the list of ingredients and the sequence of preparation steps), provided that it is accompanied by an acknowledgement of the source and a link to the original page.
Third-party trademarks and logos reproduced on the website remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Personal data and cookies
The processing of personal data collected on the website, as well as the management of cookies and other trackers, are governed by the privacy policy, to which express reference is made.

7. Hyperlinks
The kilometre-0.fr website may contain hyperlinks pointing to third-party sites (producers’ websites, documentary resources, press articles, etc.). The Kilomètre-0 association exercises no control over these sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, their availability, or any data processing carried out on them. These sites are visited under the sole responsibility of the user.
Creating a hyperlink to the kilometre-0.fr website is free, provided that it does not harm the interests of the association and does not create confusion as to the origin of the content (in particular through the technique of framing). The association reserves the right to request the removal of any link it considers harmful.
8. Reporting unlawful content
Pursuant to Article 6-I-5 of the LCEN, any user may report the presence on the website of content they consider to be manifestly unlawful (content undermining human dignity, child sexual abuse material, incitement to hatred or violence, condoning crimes against humanity, etc.) by writing to: contact@kilometre-0.fr.
The report should specify, as far as possible: the identity of the person making the report, the URL of the disputed content, and the reasons why the content is considered unlawful.
9. Editorial responsibility
The Kilomètre-0 association strives to ensure the accuracy and currency of the information published on the website. The published content is intended to be informative, educational and culinary in nature; it cannot replace personalised nutritional, dietary or medical advice.
Information relating to producers, products, seasons and culinary techniques is provided for guidance only. The association cannot be held responsible for any errors, omissions or temporary unavailability that may affect the content, nor for the direct or indirect consequences of its use.
10. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This legal notice is governed by French law. Any dispute relating to its interpretation or performance shall, failing an amicable settlement, fall within the jurisdiction of the French courts, under the conditions provided for by the applicable rules.
11. Changes
The association reserves the right to amend this legal notice at any time, in particular to take account of legislative, regulatory, case-law, technical or organisational changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
