You can make a meringue tart..

Before serving the tart, whisk three egg whites to stiff peaks with 2 tbsp of sugar.
Spread them over the tart and put it under the oven grill for a few minutes.

    Clean an orange well, take off its zest with a vegetable peeler and cut it into very small pieces.

    Squeeze the oranges and put their juice to heat with the butter.

    Beat the eggs and the sugar together. Add the cornflour and the zest.

    Pour this mixture into the pan where you heated the orange and butter and bring it all to the boil, stirring constantly.

    Carry on stirring for a minute or two while the mixture thickens.

    Roll out the shortcrust pastry in a buttered tart dish.

    Remove the excess pastry with the rolling pin.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Pour the filling (the mixture) into the mould and bake for 40 minutes.
