Topping them...
Top them with smoked trout, salmon, tuna or sardine rillettes, taramasalata…
Once you’ve made them, you’ll never go back to buying the vacuum-packed kind.
They’re easy to make, cheap and better.
Give them a go next time you have guests. I’m posting a salmon rillette at the same time to go with them ^^.

Top them with smoked trout, salmon, tuna or sardine rillettes, taramasalata…
Mix the two flours (buckwheat and wheat), sifted, with the baking powder, the milk warmed with 15 g of butter in the microwave, the egg and the pinch of salt.
Leave to rest for an hour.
Heat a blini pan dry.
With a brush, spread butter in the wells and put a little batter in each with a tablespoon.
After one or two minutes’ cooking over low heat, turn the blinis and carry on cooking for 30 seconds.
You’ll have enough for 4 or 5 batches with the quantity of batter given. If you don’t have a blini pan but you have pastry rings, use them in a large pan. Otherwise, make little mounds in a large pan, and remember to ask for a pan next Christmas :-DD
