the wine to go with it!!
A Champagne if it’s Christmas, or any fruity aperitif wine
Here’s a very easy Christmas tree to make. It’s quick and inexpensive. It will please young and old alike. And you can ask the children to help you in the kitchen — the wait for Father Christmas will feel less long that way ^^.
You can of course change the filling to suit your taste.

Roll out a sheet of puff pastry.
Lay cooked ham over one half and Emmental over the other.
Lay the other sheet of puff pastry on top and seal the edges by pressing.
Draw a Christmas tree on baking parchment and cut the pastry following the outline.
Mark two lines for the centre, then score the trunk of the tree with the point of a knife.
With scissors, cut strips as in the photo.
Twist the strips.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the tree for 35 minutes.
Serve warm or cold.
