Kiwi and smoked trout cones

Some years you get huge kiwi harvests… 2015 was an excellent one, and by mid-March it’s high time to eat them up!

So here’s another way to enjoy a few of them!

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    If you’ve bought a roll of brick pastry, cut out a square and then cut it in two to get two triangles.

    Roll them up into two cones. Stick in cocktail sticks, as in the photo, so they hold their shape during baking. You’ll remove them when they come out of the oven.

    Bake them for 6 minutes at 180°.

    While they bake, peel the kiwis and cut them into dice. Cut the trout or smoked salmon into dice too. Mix them together and fill the cones.
