Green cabbage with potatoes
Some of you may have eaten a lot of it as children. But with time, you’ll be delighted to rediscover it. It’s a very healthy product like all cabbages, and cheap (between €1.20 and €1.50 a bunch, which is enough for two).
And for those who don’t know this cabbage, here’s a photo ^^.

Preparation
-
Step 1
Peel the potatoes (preferably Bintje or Mona Lisa) and wash them. Put them in a large casserole filled with lightly salted water and bring to the boil.
Wash the green cabbage.
-
Step 2
Once boiling, add the cabbage and carry on cooking for 30 minutes.
-
Step 3
Roughly mash the potatoes and the cabbage with a good knob of butter. Check the seasoning.
You can eat them plain, or with a chiffonade of ham, or with a petit salé (lightly salted pork), or with cheese you’ve grated… in short, you’re spoilt for choice.
