Pear and Roquefort croque-monsieur

You can make a whole meal out of croque-monsieur. Start with a ham and cheese, move on to a chicken and avocado, carry on with this one and, while you’re peeling pears, do a few more to finish with a pear and chocolate.

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Butter one side of your sandwich-bread slices — that side will be against the iron.

    Fill 4 slices with the pear slices and the Roquefort cut into thin slices.

    Place another slice of bread on each, buttered side always facing out.

    Put in your waffle iron or panini grill for 2 or 3 minutes.
