Italian-style ragù

I love these very simple Italian dishes!!

With a little nod to Leïla, who keeps Marie supplied with her pig-themed card creations…. If this site can also be a showcase for young women designers, so much the better ^^.

Preparation

  1. Step 1

Prick the sausages and put them in a saucepan.

Cook them for about fifteen minutes (a gentle simmer, not a rolling boil).

Drain them, pat them dry and cut them into pieces.

In a casserole (cast iron if possible), sauté the onions, peeled and cut into thin strips.

Add the chicken oysters and brown them.

  2. Step 2

Pour in the white wine and mix it with the meat.

Add the tomato passata and the pieces of sausage and carry on cooking for 45 minutes over a low heat.

Italian-style ragù: step 2 — Pour in the white wine and mix it with the meat.
  3. Step 3

15 minutes before the end, make the polenta. Boil the water (4 times the volume of polenta) with a pinch of salt. Pour in the polenta and cook it for the time given on the packet, stirring constantly (usually less than 5 minutes). Add the butter and stir.

Serve with a lovely salad and an Italian wine!
