Choose red onions. They’re mild and sweet.
To peel them more quickly, use only large ones if you can ^^
Truth be told, it’s not a pizza, nor a flammekueche either. It’s a mix of the two, somewhere between Alsatian cooking and Neapolitan or Sicilian. Some days you’re afraid of nothing!!!

Make a pizza dough.
Peel the onions and put them in a blender with a “blade”. After a few pulses, they should be the right size.
In a pan, melt a little butter, add the onions, cover and let them soften down for an hour over low heat.
Add the honey and carry on cooking for a few minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
Roll out the pizza dough.
Spread the onion compote over it, then the ham and the capers.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Serve with a green salad.
